Effluent treatment spirits

Perform site survey. Measure, for each significant stream and overall:

• hydraulic loading requirement
• organic loading (biological oxygen demand BOD)
• suspended solids values
• pH and requirement for neutralisation
• nitrogen and phosphate nutrients
• temperature: require holding tanks?
• contingency, and will site expand?

Consider effluent leaving site in tankers or drums
