Equipment design
To discuss your needs
As well as doing its intended job, food processing equipment must be designed so that it can be easily and effectively cleaned. Campden BRI is acknowledged as the leading independent centre of expertise on issues relating to hygienic design of equipment, cleaning-in-place (CIP) systems and aseptic characteristics.
We can offer initial advice and assessment of equipment design through to the inspection and assessment of installed process lines. As members of the European Hygienic Engineering and Design Group (EHEDG), we are a significant contributor to the development of guidelines and test methods to help industry comply with European Commission (EC) legislation for the safe and hygienic processing of foods.
We are accredited by UKAS to undertake assessment of in-place cleanability of food processing equipment, and are authorised by the EHEDG to certify equipment that complies with EHEDG design criteria. We are also authorised by 3A Sanitary Standards Inc. in the USA to perform Third Party Verification of equipment or systems for conformance against 3A standards for sanitary equipment design, fabrication and construction material.
