As a thermal process authority, Campden BRI offers food processing support to help you in various ways without having to perform testing, and sometimes without having to visit your manufacturing facility. Our input, as an independent third-party expert, can provide you, your customers and accreditation bodies assurance in your processing operations, and process validation procedures.
Continuous flow processes
Products such milk, juices and sauces are often heat treated via continuous flow systems where they are pumped through heat exchangers and holding tubes before filling. Often known as either UHT or HTST processing, they cannot be validated in the traditional way using temperature probes.
At Campden BRI, our experts have experience working with and validating continuous processes all over the world, and typically involve a combination of document reviews, calculations and site inspections.
Thermal process review
If your business is undertaking validation work you may need support to ensure you are doing the work correctly and the results support the Critical Control Point (F0, pasteurisation value) that has been ascribed. Our experts regularly undertake reviews of scheduled thermal processes using process records and validation results, sometimes supported with a site visit.
