Food factory of the future
By 2050, the world population is expected to be 9 billion people. The combination of richer diets and increased population means that food production will have to be doubled in the next 30 years. Many alternatives have been offered to the food industry. This seminar, to be held on 22 September, will investigate how future food factories will look like and how current issues should be addressed to realise this vision.
The event will cover various aspects of future food manufacturing, evaluate today’s limitations and assess possible solutions, including potential cost savings by using emerging solutions. The event will include speakers in the following areas:
- Factory design and equipment of the future
- Future manufacturing practices
- Automation and data management
