We offer commercial analytical lab chemistry testing for food and drink, including: nutritional and health, microscopy, biochemistry, allergens, chromatography,  packaging, cereals and ingredients, and wines and spirits

Metals & Minerals Team

​Campden BRI support the food & drink industry to ensure food & drink is safe for consumers, up to quality standards and follows legislative requirements, in the UK, Europe and Globally. Our Analytical Services Teams cover a variety of analytical chemistry testing on food & drink.

You will deliver robust, efficient analytical services within the metals/minerals team by ensuring the provision of relevant, cost-effective services to the food & allied industries.

 

Position

  • Ensuring the operation & effective utilisation of resources and facilities.
  • Delivery of results in timely and efficient manner.
  • Reporting of certificates in line with ISO17025 requirements.
  • To perform technical operations required within a specific, process and/or laboratory area and to provide practical assistance to colleagues by supporting and/or partaking in the preparation, analysis and testing of test items, instruments, and samples.
  • Design and develop methodology using ICP for a range of analysis for food and drink when required.
  • Responding to client enquiries relating to testing within the group.
  • Conduct work complying with all relevant policies, rules, methods, procedures and instructions and/or in accordance with specific and agreed project, study or work plans - ongoing.


Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent experience in the field of analytical science
  • Good knowledge of food science and technology
  • Good understanding and experience of ICP-MS/OES appropriate to the investigation of issues relevant to the food and allied industries.
  • Experience as a test signatory under an ISO17025 quality management system
  • Flexibility to work on many tasks and manage priorities
  • Well developed communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proven effectiveness in managing timely and cost-effective delivery of technical services/research outputs.
