We offer commercial analytical lab chemistry testing for food and drink, including: nutritional and health, microscopy, biochemistry, allergens, chromatography, packaging, cereals and ingredients, and wines and spirits

Chemistry

We have a permanent opportunity for a trainee Chemistry technician- working within our Analytical Services division. This is an entry level role, starting your career within science! We also offer an opportunity to do a Chemistry degree apprenticeship for the right candidate.

Position

Carry out analysis of foodstuffs and materials relating to the food industry according to client instructions, within agreed timescales.
Carry out administrative tasks relating to analytical work e.g. sample receipt and booking in of samples into system
Perform method development activates under the direction of a senior analyst. Collect data and produce reports.
Ensure all aspects of Quality are managed according to Campden BRI standards, including maintaining QC records for global migration tests
Maintenance of UKAS accredited methods relating to migration
Calibration, maintenance and daily monitoring of lab equipment e.g. balances, pipettes

Requirements

You must be passionate about science
Be 18 years or older from June 2024
Be eligible to work in the UK
Have Ability to travel to Chipping Campden in Gloucestershire daily
Hold GCSE Maths & English Grade C+ (or equivalent)
Have studied Chemistry at A Level with a grade A or B (or predicted)
