Analytical Services

We offer commercial analytical lab chemistry testing for food and drink, including: nutritional and health, microscopy, biochemistry, allergens, chromatography,  packaging, cereals and ingredients, and wines and spirits

Microscopy Team

​Our Microscopy team undertakes a diverse range of microscopy investigations which can include foreign bodies, screening, imaging, packaging, key accounts, and bespoke client requests. They produce relevant reports and provide consultation with clients. 

Position

  • ​​To undertake microscopic investigations of foreign bodies using different forensic science and microscope techniques.
  • Electron microscope analysis when required.
  • Interpret analytical data.
  • Prepare and issue technical reports on any investigation undertaken.
  • To work in a safe manner in accordance with departmental policies.
  • To keep neat and orderly records of results and other relevant information.

Requirements

  • ​Degree in Forensic Science, Biology/ Biosciences or BioChemistry.
  • Good written & verbal communication.
  • Enthusiasm to learn and an interest in science.
  • Ability to write clear and professional client reports.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Good time management.
  • Ability to work individually or as a team.
