Regulatory Affairs Team

Campden BRI have a dedicated Regulatory Affairs team, who offer a valuable and expert advisory service to the food & drink industry, retailers and suppliers, helping our clients stay compliant with food regulations in more than 80 countries.

Position

  • To maintain and extend a high level of awareness of current food legislation, related issues and likely developments, in food legislation in the EU as well as Spanish & Portuguese or Italian speaking countries. Support outside these geographic regions is also likely.
  • To answer questions from members, other clients and colleagues on the content, application and interpretation of the above.
  • To develop and contribute to Regulatory publications and training events.
  • To initiate new business and deliver contract services on time and within budget.
  • To contribute to the development and delivery of research projects.
  • To recommend and implement change in services, products and systems.
  • To act as a Senior within the Advisor team, support and deputising for Team Manager where required.
  • Potential opportunity to grow & mentor team members.

Requirements

  • Graduate level qualification(s) in food science or related subjects.
  • Senior experience / knowledge of food law acquired in a commercial, enforcement or policy setting.
  • Well-developed communication skills – upwards, downwards and outwards.
  • Experience advising customers or working in industry providing internal teams with food law & nutritional claims support etc.
  • Ability to manage projects with deadlines and multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience of customer service and interaction with clients would be advantageous
  • Language skills – Fluency in Spanish and English and the ability to read and interpret food law in Spanish speaking countries. Additional languages would be an advantage such as Portuguese and/or Italian.
